Neighborhood Lending Partners provided construction and permanent financing for Spinal Cord Living Assistance Development, Inc. (SCLAD). The financing created an 18 unit rent restricted apartment complex in Hialeah, FL. The complex is a four-story property that houses the SCLAD Resource Center on the first floor and three stories of housing units. The facility also features a rooftop tropical garden, and an emergency natural gas powered elevator for wheel chair access.
SCLAD is a 501(c)3 Florida corporation that was formed in 1985 by a group of spinal cord injured friends. SCLAD's mission is to facilitate independent living, economic self-sufficiency and full community integration for persons with disabilities by providing and coordinating support services. These services can include generating employment and vocational opportunities, affordable barrier free housing and more.
